Former Breckenridge Cowboy Noah Christensen has found his new school. Christensen took to Twitter to announce his commitment to Concordia College in Moorhead on Tuesday.

He is reunited with his high school coach from his freshman year, Tyler Bormann.

“I’m pumped. I’m very excited to join Coach Bormann and the team next year,” Christensen said.

Christensen redshirted his first season of college with North Dakota State and chose to leave the program to focus on his mental health.

In the tweet, Christensen said, “A big thanks to everyone who has helped me out of this tough time.” He said rediscovering his love for the game is what helped him make the decision. During his time away from basketball, he helped coach his younger brother and other junior high players.

“I’ve been liking the game a lot more. I fell back in love with it more two weeks ago. I’ve been hooping at my house and helping out and coaching the seventh and eighth graders with skills stuff,” Christensen said. “Basketball has not been fun for me for a couple of years and I’m excited to be back to loving the game.”

Bormann is in his first year as head coach for Concordia after coaching the Moorhead High School boys. Christensen was one of the first players off the bench for Breckenridge during Bormann’s final season at the helm of the Cowboys. The pair kept in touch throughout Christensen’s high school career.

“I have a lot of respect and trust for Coach Bormann,” Christensen said. “He would text me every month or so when I was in high school even after he left Breck. I’m very close with him and his family.”
