DAKOTA VETERINARY HOSPITAL PET PATROL PET CARE TIP FOR THIS WEEK:
The safest way for your dog to travel in the car is in a crate that has been anchored to the vehicle using a seat belt or other secure means. Dog restraints or seat belts are useful for preventing your dog from roaming around the car and being a distraction to the driver, but they haven’t been reliably shown to protect dogs during a crash.
DAKOTA VETERINARY POUND LIST:
No animals on the list today
The Richland-Wilkin County Animal Pound’s Facebook page has more information available on what is going on with the pound on a daily basis.
THE DAKOTA VETERINARY HOSPITAL WANTS TO REMIND YOU OF THE FOLLOWING RESTRICTIONS DURING THESE CURRENT TIMES:
The hospital is open but doing all services curbside until further notice. When you arrive call 701-642-9277 or text 701-786-1922.
Remember to bring all cats in a carrier and dogs on a leash in order to keep your pets safe.
For the surgical patient drop-off drive thru, drive between the cones when you arrive & stay in your vehicle – they will come assist you. Surgical forms are found on Dakota Veterinary Hospital’s website and filling those early will save you time.
They are requiring clients to reschedule appointments if they have a pending COVID test, been in contact with anyone COVID positive or if they are in quarantine. If you have pets in need of emergency service please contact someone to bring the pet in for them.
If you are looking to adopt a pet, the Richland-Wilkin County Humane Society is currently looking for Foster Homes. Find a list of the pets available for adoption on petfinder.com
