McKenna Koolmo and Scout Woods combined for 27 points Friday in a 57-53 loss by the Wahpeton Lady Huskies at Valley City.

Wahpeton, who won its first game on the season on Tuesday, fell to 1-6 overall and 1-6 in EDC play.

Koolmo scored 15 points to lead the Lady Huskies while also grabbing 6 rebounds.

Woods added 12 points and a game-high 9 rebounds.

Lidia Motl chipped in 9 points and 5 boards while Emma Bontjes scored 7 points. Lataya Baumgardner had 8 rebounds for Wahpeton.

Neither team shot the ball well in the game.

Wahpeton was 28 percent from the field (21 of 75) and 37 percent on free throws (6 of 16) while Valley City shot 33 percent from the field (22 of 65) and 34 percent from the free throw line (8 of 23.)

The Lady Huskies are back at home today (Saturday) to host West Fargo Sheyenne at 5 p.m.
