There are new teams atop both the N.D. AP Sportswriters and Sportscasters Class B boys and girls basketball polls.

The Enderlin Eagles took over the top spot in the boys poll in a tightly compacted top of the poll.

Enderlin had seven of the 22 first-place votes and 189 poll points, four more than Four Winds-Minnewaukan in second place. Grafton had the most first-place votes with eight and was third with Dickinson Trinity fourth. Langdon-Edmore-Munich rounded out the top five.

Kindred was ranked sixth, followed by Dunseith, Rugby, Edgeley-Kulm-Montpelier and Beulah.

The Central Cass Squirrels jumped over Kindred for the Class B girls top spot. Central Cass got 10 first-place votes to edge Kindred by three points in the poll.

Grafton was third for the girls, with Carrington fourth, Linton-HMB fifth, Trenton sixth, Thompson seventh, Langdon-Edmore-Munich eighth, Our Redeemer’s ninth and Glenburn 10th.
