Desire Munezero scored 20 points and had six rebounds, six assists and six steals to lead the Wahpeton Huskies to an 80-65 win over Grand Forks Red River on Wednesday in Grand Forks.
Munezero was 7 of 12 from the field, including a perfect 3 of 3 on 3-pointers, and was 3 of 5 on free throws for his 20 points.
Tyler Tollefson added 19 points while Bridger Hansen and Jason Berndt scored 11 points each and Carter Hoerer added 10. Hoerer also had five rebounds.
Wahpeton led 38-32 at the half and used a 9-0 run to start the second half for a 47-32 lead. The Huskies lead by as many as 25 points in the half.
The Huskies improved to 3-2 with the win. Wahpeton will be at home for two games next week, hosting Grand Forks Central on Tuesday and Valley City on Friday.
