Wahpeton wrestling falls to Grand Forks Central and LaMoure

Wahpeton’s wrestling team hosted a triangular with conference foe Grand Forks Central and the highly-talented LaMoure squad.

The Huskies fell to Central 58-12 and were shutout against LaMoure in a 75-0 loss. All but one of the matches against LaMoure ended in either pins or forfeits, with the exception of a 10-6 win by decision between Maddux Shockman and Wahpeton’s Colman Barth at 120 pounds.

Barth also had a win by pin in the Central dual in a minute and 21 seconds. Jordan Miller had the team’s only other win in the dual, which was also by fall in one minute and 55 seconds.

The Huskies move on to a dual in Valley City at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7.
