The Wahpeton Lady Huskies went down to the wire in their home opener against Fargo North, but couldn’t come up with enough offense down the stretch in a 52-47 Tuesday loss.

McKenna Koolmo poured in a team-high 17 points with 10 of them coming in the first half. Aiyana Allard and Scout Woods were also in double figures with 11 and 10, respectively.

Fargo North got 15 second-half points from Grace Miller, who ended the night with a game-high 21.

The Huskies continue to look for their first win with a 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30 home bout against Grand Forks Red River.
