The Wahpeton girls basketball team dropped to 0-2 with a 75-41 road loss to Fargo South. The Huskies trailed by 11 at halftime, but couldn’t overcome their shooting woes in the Thursday loss.

Wahpeton shot 24 percent from the field, 25 percent from 3-point land and 45 percent on free throws.

Haley Kjar scored a dozen to lead the Huskies with all three of her makes from the field coming from beyond the arc.

Scout Woods led the rebounding effort with 10 boards.

Four Bruins hit double-digit scoring with Adie Wagner scoring a team-high 24 points.

Wahpeton continues their stretch of road trips with a 4:15 p.m. Saturday game against Devils Lake.
