The Jamestown Blue Jays boys and Bismarck Century Patriot girls are the preseason No. 1 picks by the N.D AP Sportswriters and Sportscasters in the Class A basketball polls.
Jamestown edged West Fargo Sheyenne for the top spot in the boys poll with 77 points. Sheyenne had 71. Bismarck was third with Fargo Davies fourth and Bismarck Legacy fifth.
Century got 16 of 18 first-place votes in the girls poll. Fargo Davies was second, followed by Bismarck Legacy, West Fargo and Bismarck.
