The Wahpeton Park Board met on Wednesday, November 18th at the Wahpeton Community Center. Chahinkapa Zoo is sponsoring a ribs fund-raiser on Friday, November 20th. Wal Mart Foundation awarded three grants, including $1,500 to Special Olympics. $1,000 for youth recreation and $500 for the Junior Wildlife Club. It was announced that the Rotary Club donated $1,000 for Wi-Fi at Hughes Shelter. Grants were received from the North Dakota Forest Service for the Community Center and Highway 13 entrance trees. Comstock Construction made Red River shoreline improvements for installation of the Kidder Recreation Area fishing pier. Todd Green’s ‘World of Music’ sponsored by the Three Rivers Arts Council was presented virtually to Breckenridge and Wahpeton students, grades on through eight.
