
Gas prices in North Dakota dropped nearly 3 cents across the state this past week, making the lowest prices seen since June.
The average price of a gallon of gas is $2.02, five cents lower than the average on Oct. 1.
Locally, gas prices in Wahpeton and Breckenridge are averaging nearly 15 cents lower than the state average at $1.89.
National predictors indicate the state average will fall below $2 this week with mounting concerns about the increase in the global coronavirus cases indicate fewer travel across the nation for the holidays. Last year at this time North Dakotans were paying around $2.55 a gallon.
Nationally, the average gas price is $2.12, the lowest it’s been at this time of year since 2004.
