Former Wahpeton High School standout Tylee Irwin was named to the Preseason All-Summit League second team in a vote of the conference coaches, sports information directors and media.
The 6-foot Irwin averaged 8.5 points and 5.1 rebounds last season as a junior for the Jackrabbits in helping SDSU to a 23-10 record and a spot in the NCAA Tournament before it was canceled by COVID-19.
Irwin started 32 of 33 games and shot 40.3 percent from the field and finished fourth on the team in made 3-pointers with 27.
The SDSU women’s basketball team was picked to finish second in the preseason poll behind South Dakota.
