Breckenridge school superintendent Diane Cordess joined KBMW on Monday to talk about recent events at the school.
Cordess said that as of last week, the entire school system is down to three active cases of COVID-19, the lowest mark for the school since it started in September.
Wednesday will be an early end to the school day for teachers to continue to prepare for the updated learning models and learning strategies for the winter period.
And Cordess said the drama department will hold two one-act plays this winter instead of one longer play to meet COVID-19 requirements.
The department will do a twist on It’s a Wonderful Life, performing the long-time Christmas classic as if it were on the radio. The department will also do a Seussified version of a Christmas Carol.
Both plays will be on Dec. 5 and the hope is they will be live streamed for those unable to make the performances due to COVID-19 restrictions.
