Wahpeton High School Athletic Director Mike McCall said Friday in a release that with N.D. Governor Doug Burgum upgrading Richland County’s risk level from Green to Yellow, updated rules now apply for athletic and co-curricular activities.

Wristbands will be issued for ticketed events and will total attendance now not exceed 100 people, including attendees, staff and essential workers and visiting fans will no longer receive wristbands for admittance.

For Wahpeton’s regular-season finale football game Saturday against Central Cass, visiting fans will receive 30 wristbands with the rest distributed among the Wahpeton players. No wristbands will be made available for the general public or students.

For non-ticketed events, the school asks that no more than two spectators per student attend and all spectators are asked to physically distance as much as possible and leave at the conclusion of the event.

Masks are also recommended for all individuals attending events.
