Breckenridge Schools announced through its Facebook page on Friday that the school system will move to distance learning for this coming Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The school said it did so after closely monitoring county and district COVID-19 numbers.
The Minnesota Education Association break is scheduled for next Thursday and Friday.
The move is for grades 10 through 12 with preschool through ninth grade still conducting in-person classes as it has since the start of the school year.
Instruction for next week will be delivered daily using technology tool currently in place.
Free meals will be offered to all students grade 10-12 and available for pick up at the high school through door No. 7.
The plan is for students to return to in-person learning on Monday, Oct. 19.
The school said any changes would be posted on the school’s Facebook page and website.
