
The Wyndmere-Lidgerwood Warbirds scored over 40 points for the third straight game to start the season, outscoring Richland 44-6 over the final three quarters Friday in a 44-14 win at Wyndmere High School.
The Warbirds, 2-1 on the season, fell behind early as Richland used an 11-play, 81-yard touchdown drive to take an 8-0 lead.
Wyndmere-Lidgerwood took its first lead of the game at 16-14 midway through the second quarter and led 24-14 at the half. The Warbirds then outscored the Colts 20-0 in the second half.
Sophomore running back Andrew Arth ran for 176 yards to lead the Warbirds while quarterback Preston Bohnenstingl scored four touchdowns.
Richland was led on the ground by Nick Thompson with 77 rushing yards.
Richland fell to 0-2 on the early season.
