The Richland County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a vehicle pursuing and shooting at another vehicle in Hankinson on Friday morning.

Richland County Sheriff’s Deputies responded and located the victim’s vehicle, which had several bullet holes in it.

Further investigation lead to an arrest of Cody Lacefild, 27, from Hankinson. Lacefield is currently being held in Richland County Corrections on three charges.

Bond had not been set as of Friday afternoon and additional charges may be pending.

The incident remains under investigation by the Richland County Sheriff’s Office.
