Breckenridge freshman Brock Summerville placed third at the Section 6A Golf Tournament, carding a 161 across two rounds to clinch a spot in the Class 1A State Tournament.
Frazee sophomore Ben Reierson won the meet with a 151, while Ashby-Brandon/Evansville junior Traeton Nelson placed second with a 158. Summerville tied Reierson’s 5-over-par on day two for the second lowest round, and Nelson edged both golfers by one stroke over the final 18 holes.
Breckenridge senior Xander Klinnert also fared well, finishing ninth with a 36-hole score of 169. Jordan Kappes also made the cut for round two at sections.
