It was a beautiful Thursday to start the Wahpeton Huskies golf season at Bois de Sioux Golf Course in Wahpeton. The Huskies finished in eighth place, just three shots back from sixth in the very strong Eastern Dakota Conference.
Wahpeton was led by junior Gracin Kaste, who recorded a birdie and six pars on the day. He ran into a little trouble on the front nine, but managed the course very well on the back nine and his score reflected his solid play.
Freshman Peyton Miller carded eight pars and a birdie, showing his ability to score when he’s in position. As a group, each Wahpeton golfer had 5-6 pars, but the double and triple bogeys hurt some scores.
