Area teams continue to dot the Class A & B basketball polls, released Wednesday by the North Dakota Associated Press Sportscasters & Sportswriters Association.

This week’s girls polls are the final rankings of the 2025-26 season.

Class A girls Region 2 regular season winner Carrington moved up a place to second after a second win this season over Region 1 titlist Valley City.  The Hi Liners dropped two spots to number four.

Wahpeton is tied for fourth in the Class A boys poll.  The Huskies, after losing to Kindred last week, rallied to defeat Hankinson on Tuesday.

LaMoure-Litchville/Marion remains number three among Class B girls.  The Loboes won the District 2 tournament Monday, defeating Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock.  They will meet Hankinson next Monday in a Region 1 tournament quarterfinal.

South Prairie-Max ends the regular season number one among Class A girls.  The Royals were atop each of the last nine polls.

Four Winds-Minnewaukan is the top team in Class A boys for the fifth consecutive week.

Central McLean is now number one in both Class B polls.  The Cougar girls moved to the top spot after Monday’s overtime win over previously top-ranked Flasher in the District 8 championship game.  Central McLean’s boys are ranked first for the ninth week in a row.
