The Breckenridge Cowboys hung around Thursday in their first test against the upper echelon of Section 6A teams, but Pelican Rapids held onto a 16-point halftime lead on the way to a 62-52 road win. Breckenridge (12-2) came into the contest ranked No. 2 in Class 1A according to the Minnesota Scores Quality Results Formula, while Pelican Rapids (11-3) slotted in at No. 8.
