The Wahpeton Lady Huskies put up a fight against No. 3-ranked Valley City on the road Monday. Wahpeton trailed 37-32 at the half, but the Hi-Liners put together a 15-3 third quarter to pull away for a 67-50 victory.
Katie Burchill keyed the win with 26 points, nine rebounds and three blocks. Sky Nielson was also effective with 22 points, six rebounds and five steals.
The Huskies were led by Piper Nelson’s 20 points and a dozen from Claire Woods. Gracie Falck had a career game on the glass with eight rebounds.
