The Breckenridge-Wahpeton Blades suffered another tight loss Thursday, dropping a 5-3 home match against Prairie Centre. Two goals by the Northstars in the final period lifted their unblemished record to 5-0 and sent the Blades to 1-4 on the season.
Jaxson Lopez, Gracin Kaste and Kamden Spinks each scored a goal for Breckenridge-Wahpeton. Jaxon Breuer, Charlie Ekren, Josh Hofman and Easton Neppl (2) were credited with assists.
James Rieland netted two goals for the Northstars, while Layton Fuchs, Alex Trierweiler and Bentley Ritter added one score each.
Cale Gilbertson stopped 25 of 30 shots on goal for the Blades. Isaiah Hutchinson earned the win with 24 saves for the Northstars.
