
Valley City and Carrington are the top two teams in the Class A girls basketball poll, released Wednesday, from the North Dakota Sportscasters & Sportswriters Association.
The Hi-Liners, defending state champions in class A, rallied to win at Devils Lake on Tuesday in their season opener. The Cardinals stunned previous number one team South Prairie-Max on Monday. The Royals fell three places to number four.
In Class B, defending champion Benson County is still on top and again a unanimous choice. LaMoure-Litchville-Marion, which has not yet begun its season, is still fourth.
