Wildcats earn multiple Mon-Dak Conference awards

The Region XIII Champion North Dakota State College of Science volleyball team earned several Mon-Dak Conference season honors Tuesday. Wildcats head coach Jane Passa was named conference Coach of the Year and freshman attacker Tessa Jacobson earned Player of the Year to highlight the awards.

Sophomore setter Quinn Kost and sophomore hitter Kenzy Beare earned First Team All-Conference. Both players served as team captains.

Kost is second in the nation among NJCAA Division II players with 11.07 assists per set. Beare boasts 312 kills and 80 total blocks heading into Saturday’s district title round.

The Wildcats also earned the Team Sportsmanship Award.

Saturday’s district championship game will be played at NDSCS, with radio coverage and live streaming available on KBMW News Live YouTube. The Wildcats will face No. 2-ranked Kirkwood at 2 p.m.
