The North Dakota State College of Science volleyball team defeated Lake Region State in four sets to capture the Region XIII Championship on Sunday afternoon. The Wildcats hoisted the hardware on their home floor, earning a spot in Saturday’s district title game, which will also be played in Wahpeton.
Opponent and game time for the district championship are to be determined.
NDSCS cruised to opening set wins of 25-16 and 25-19 before the Royals came alive with a 25-19 win in set three. The Wildcats closed the door in set four with a 25-21 victory in a back-and-forth battle.
