Comments below from Wahpeton head coach Jeff Ralph

Another good showing by the Huskies golf team. We tied for fifth place and lost the tiebreaker to Fargo North to finish in sixth.

Senior Claire Langenwalter led us today with an 89. Claire started the day with a birdie on hole No. 14 and had five pars on the day. Claire said her irons weren’t as solid as she would have liked today but she still put up a good score for our team.

Sophomore Ella Langenwalter had a good start to the day with five pars in her first eight holes. She ran into some trouble on a par-5 and ended up on the wrong side of the hole unable to stop her short pitch shot. She still battled and recorded a top-25 score.

Sophomore Brooke Rosenberg also had a good score for us today. Brooke had two pars and a birdie and did a great job avoiding the high numbers that can really hurt her score. She strung together six bogeys on the front nine and shot a nice 46.

NEXT MEET: State qualifier at Kings Walk in Grand Forks on Wednesday, Sept. 3.
