Breckenridge auto racer Al Cleveland competed Thursday in the FastLane Super Stock Series at Rice Lake Speedway.
Cleveland started seventh in the heat and held his spot to the finish.
“It was a stick hammer down (the) heat and the chipmunks gave it everything they had,” Cleveland said.
His Berger’s Auto Body and Dickerson Land/Cattle/Storage car began the “B” main in the seventh spot and moved into fifth place to finish the race.
“What a wide open fun race,” Cleveland said. “Zero damage and headed to Red Cedar Speedway tomorrow night so it’s nice to have nothing to fix.”
Cleveland has been involved with auto racing for the better part of three decades.
“I want to thank my family for supporting me all these years racing,” Cleveland said. “Hopefully they have had as much fun as I have. You only get one shot at life so you better make it count!”
