The Wahpeton Huskies baseball team ended its season with a pair of home losses to West Fargo by scores of 25-1 and 6-5. Wahpeton closes the campaign with a 2-17 record, missing the postseason tournament.
In the one-run defeat, Cayson Pinsonneault sparked the Huskies with a pair of hits, doubling and contributing two runs to the box score. Myles Hinkley walked and scored twice atop the batting order. Rylan Flack and Aiden Hajek both singled.
Hajek tossed three innings with zero earned runs in the 6-5 loss. Trey King allowed four earned runs across the final four innings, but limited the Packers to three hits.
Hajek led the Husky hitters in 2025, batting .321 with 17 hits. Rylan Flack had a breakout campaign with a .270 average and a pair of doubles. Eli Kappes batted .250 and led the team with a .462 on-base percentage.
