Turner Blaufuss (KBMW Program Director)

Turner’s sports broadcasts sometimes have a mind of their own — and listeners love it.

A lifelong Breckenridge native, Turner grew up floating down the river on the infamous Lake Road, playing football for the Cowboys and fostering a passion for high school sports coverage.

Turner is the host of two shows at KBMW Studios and directs the programming in Wahpeton.

In his career, Turner has covered the FCS Football National Championship along with several state tournament appearances at the high school level.

With a background in journalism and radio, Turner serves as the Voice of the Cowboys/Cowgirls and publishes game stories for KBMW News. His ability to inject storylines and humor into his sports play-by-play broadcasts has expanded our listening audience beyond the old-fashioned AM radio, into homes and across the internet.

Turner has become a fan favorite at KBMW with his authentic delivery and original segments, including “Turner’s Classic Movies” and “Optimum Athletes.”

Turner plays an integral role in the sales department, growing the advertising presence of community businesses and finding innovative ways to offer value-added content to marketing plans.

Robert chose to pursue hands-on experience over formal education and built his career from the ground up, landing at KBMW in 2024 and overhauling the sports coverage including YouTube streams and documentary projects.

While his content has been featured by ESPN, Washington Post and Fox News, Robert is most proud of the coverage and exposure he brings to local sports in Breckenridge-Wahpeton every day on the radio.

The Breckenridge native also tackles sales on sports-related projects, creating collaborations with local businesses that help showcase area talent on a regional and national level.

Robert has collaborated with Billboard No. 1 artist Tom MacDonald and rising country star Luke Borchelt to help keep the KBMW playlist fresh alongside all of your favorite classic country.
