Lady Wildcats jump Tetons in Mon-Dak standings after 26-point comeback win

The NDSCS Lady Wildcats charged back from a 26-point deficit in the second half, handing the Tetons of Williston State a 73-72 home loss Monday.
NDSCS trailed 46-25 at the break and flipped the script to outscore Williston State 48-26 in the second half. The Wildcats were led by 23 points and 18 rebounds from Maggie Westling. Demi Van Gils added 19 points.
The Lady Wildcats received excellent floor games from the backcourt. McKena Koolmo posted seven points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals. Peyton Gette tallied nine points, four rebounds, five assists and two steals.
Williston state placed four in double figures led by a 22-point, 14-rebound double-double from Allison Kunze, who also blocked four shots.
NDSCS (19-7, 8-3 Mon-Dak) jumped Williston State (21-5, 7-3 Mon-Dak) for second place in the conference standings behind Bismarck State (18-6, 8-2 Mon-Dak). All three of the Tetons’ conference losses have come by way of the Lady Wildcats.
