
The Wahpeton Huskies continued their torrid stretch of play Tuesday in a 71-47 win at Oak Grove, marking the sixth consecutive game that Wahpeton has held an opponent under 50 points.
The Huskies racked up 17 steals. Brayden Steffens had one of his best defensive games with four steals, while posting a team-high 17 points on 8-of-13 shooting.
Landon Ralph added 11 points and five rebounds, Jack Gilbertson tallied 10 points and five rebounds, and Treyton Mauch posted nine points, four rebounds and three steals.
Bjorn Kubela dished out a game-high four assists alongside six points and three steals. Alex Comings made all three of his field goals for eight points while Jackson DeVries and Carter Hockert scored six and four, respectively.
Oak Grove was led by Aidan Saunders’ game-high 18 points.
The Huskies (10-6) will take a five-game winning streak into Devils Lake on Thursday to face the No. 2-ranked Firebirds (14-0). Wahpeton follows that up with another top test at No. 1-ranked Kindred (14-0) on Tuesday, Feb. 18.
