The Breckenridge Cowboys had their season come to an end with a 97-65 loss to Section 6A foe Battle Lake on Wednesday.

Alex Sanchez went for 21 points in his final game as a Cowboy.

Junior forward Jacob Kunkel scored 14 while senior Landon Blaufuss and Daymon Smith each chipped in nine. Smith set the single-season record for 3-pointers in the loss, ending the year with 80 triples. Bryan Jacklitch set the record with 77 in 2009. 

The Battlers were led by Jack Mekalson and Drew Johnson with 31 and 21, respectively.

Breckenridge finishes their season with a record of 4-21.
