North Dakota State College of Science took a 28-0 lead into halftime of their 40-14 rout of University of Jamestown’s JV on Saturday.

Marselio Mendez picked up where he left off of last year’s dominant freshman campaign with a pair of receiving touchdowns and 117 yards off five catches.

Four of the six Wildcat touchdowns were passing scores with the ground game punching one in and the special teams coming through for a touchdown off a blocked punt with Caleb Sadlemyer diving on the ball in the end zone.

Graedyn Buell led the passing attack with 123 yards and a trio of touchdowns.

Drew Boxwell had the team’s lone rushing score with a one-yard plunge.

Next up for NDSCS is their conference opener at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at home against Minnesota State Community and Technical College.
