Wahpeton Post 20 played in the Perham tournament Friday and Saturday, going 3
and 1 with a loss to Duluth Lakeview.

On Friday, Wapheton won two games taking down Perham 7-3 and a team from Dellano, MN 7-4. Tori Uhlich was the Player of the Day Friday, going 5-6 with 2RBIs and 4 runs between the two games and pitching two innings against Dellano.

On Saturday, Wahpeton faced off against a fellow North Dakota powerhouse Jamestown, winning 7-1. Caden Hockett hit his first home run of the summer in the sixth inning to secure the win for Post 20. The final game of the weekend was a 13-12 loss against Duluth Lakeview in extra innings. Wahpeton entered the seventh inning leading by three runs. But after timely hitting by Duluth, Wahpeton faced extra innings. After a 1-2-3 innings, Duluth set themselves up to walk off.
After a walk and a hit by pitched, followed by a failed run down, the winning run
was on third base with the bases loaded when Riley Thimjon hit the #9 batters
walked in the winning run. Wahpeton had not lost a game this summer. Josiah Hofman was the Player of the Game for Wahpeton, going 3 for 3 with 3RBIs in the loss.

Next up for Post 20 is a game Tuesday double header at home against Valley City.
