The Wahpeton basketball teams split on the road with Devils Lake on Friday with the Lady Huskies winning 65-58 and the Wahpeton boys falling by a score of 66-60.

Emma Bontjes continued her hot streak with 23 points in the win. McKena Koolmo followed with 11 with all of her points coming from the free-throw line. 

The Wahpeton boys were led by Caden Hockert once again as the junior guard led the team in points and assists with 20 and five, respectively.

Ethan Manock picked up another double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds and Riley Thimjon was just shy of a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds.

The Lady Huskies are now 5-8 on the year while the boys are 2-11. The Wahpeton girls battle with Grand Forks Central today at 5:30 p.m. in Wahpeton and the boys are back in action tomorrow with a 7:15 p.m. home game against Fargo South.
