The North Dakota State College of Science volleyball team is headed to the NJCAA National Tournament. In a best-of-three series with Central Community College-Columbus played in Wahpeton, the Wildcats won two of the three matches.

The Wildcats swept in the first match on Friday by scores of 25-20, 25-23 and 25-17. Central claimed a sweep of their own on Saturday, 25-23, 25-19 and 25-21. The final match was also played on Saturday and the Wildcats fell behind by two sets and rallied to win three in a row and move on. The set scores were 22-25, 22-25, 25-21, 25-16 and 15-10.

Stella Raser was the kill leader in the opening match with 10 kills. Megan Klaphake was dialed in from the server’s line with three of the team’s four aces. Katie Krieger also came up big, leading the team with 30 of the team’s 60 digs.

Klaphake also had three aces in the second match.

The final match of the series saw three Wildcats hit double-digit kills. Jalen Ennen had 18, Bailee Brommenschenkel followed with 12 and Calyn Crockett came through for 11.

The Region XIII Champions turned in their best blocking effort of the season. Ennen had 10 solos and three assists. Lauren Krieger had seven solos. Morgan Vosberg had 49 assists in the biggest win of the season.

The Wildcats move on to the NJCAA Division II National Tournament in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
