The North Dakota State College of Science football team bested Mesabi Range Community & Technical College for the third time this year, this time being a playoff victory on Sunday by a score of 44-21.

The Norsemen were able to cut the Wildcat lead to three points early in the third quarter, but NDSCS scored the game’s final 20 points to move on.

Graedyn Buell tossed a pair of TD passes while also running in one. TJ Owens and Dylan Jergenson each had a rushing score as well.

Marselio Mendez and Demetrius Coleman were the ones hauling in the touchdown passes from Buell.

North Dakota State College of Science forced four turnovers with three interceptions and a fumble recovery, which was scooped up for a 22-yard touchdown by Daemond Gibbons.

The Wildcats move on to host Minnesota State Community & Technical College in the MCAC Semifinals at 1:30 p.m. Sunday. Last time the two teams squared off, M-State fell to NDSCS 34-28.

The Wildcats are 9-0 on the season.
