Wahpeton American Legion Post 20 overcame a slow start to beat Clark-Willow Lake 10-3 late Friday night to finish pool play 3-0 at the Wahpeton Invitational.

Post 20 – 11-2 on the season – will play in the championship game on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. against a team yet to be determined.

Wahpeton fell behind C-WL 3-1 in the third inning before scoring the last 9 runs of the game. Post 20 tied the game with 2 runs in the third and took control of the game with 4 runs in the fifth inning.

Tori Uhlich started for Wahpeton and got the win with 5 innings of 4-hit baseball. Uhlich gave up 3 runs, 2 earned, and struck out 4.

Wahpeton had 12 hits on offense, again led by Uhlich. Uhlich was 3-for 4 with an RBI from the No. 9 spot in the lineup.

Riley Thimjon, Jordan Miller and Ethan Manock all had 2 hits.
