Breckenridge Post 53 opened their American Legion baseball season with a 6-2 victory over Barnesville Post 153 on Tuesday.
The win saw Breckenridge score at least one run in each of their first four innings, including three in the second.
Jace Werner picked up where he left off in the spring season with two RBIs on two hits.
He was the only Post 53 player with multiple hits as they were held to six hits on the night. Breckenridge capitalized off four errors by their foes.
Five Breckenridge pitchers were used with Cooper Yaggie nabbing the win.
