Angie Tunink, OCIA marketing director, says the live zoom series will be for farmers to bring their questions about starting an organic operation.
Tunink says it’s not hard to become certified. There are just steps to doing it. An example is someone wanting to sell product from their goats, such as cheese, milk, soaps, and more.
The amount of time it can take to become certified is a deterrent for some when moving into certified organic crops. Tunink says it doesn’t have to be.
While based in Lincoln, Nebraska, OCIA is international, able to certify crops and products as organic worldwide.
