Cowboys score early to beat Wheaton-Herman-Norcross in baseball

The Breckenridge Cowboys baseball team built a big lead with an eight-run second inning on their way to a 15-7 home win over Wheaton/Herman-Norcross on Tuesday.
The Cowboys matched their 15 runs with 15 hits in the victory. Cooper Yaggie had three of them along with three RBIs.
Connor Twidwell also had a trio of RBIs, going 2-2 on the night with a walk and a hit by pitch.
Chris Nieto went 3-3 from the cleanup spot.
Twidwell tossed six innings, giving up six hits and seven runs to get the win. The Warriors had two home runs off Twidwell. After hitting his pitch count, Jared Aamold and Adam Ohm split the final inning.
Next up for the 2-1 Cowboys is their first road game of the season at 4:30 p.m. Thursday against Otter Tail Central.
