Minnesota Governor Tim Walz will hold a public safety update today at 3 p.m. ahead of a potential Derick Chauvin trial verdict.

The governor will be joined by Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey and St. Paul Mayor Melvin Carter.

 Closing arguments were heard today from both the prosecution and defense attorneys and deliberations for the jurors could start as early at today.
