The North Dakota State College of Science Wildcats opened the 2021 basketball season on Friday with a 101-72 win over Lake Region State College.

The Wildcats had five players score in double figures in the game, with three coming off the bench

Malik Cooper led the way for NDSCS with 18 points, with all 18 points coming on 3-pointers.

RaShaun Parker added 15 points off the bench while Ty Horner scored 12, JaQuan Sanders-Smith 11 to go with a game-high 12 assists and Anthony Ignowski 10.

Connor Hollenbeck led the Wildcats with eight rebounds.

As a team, the Wildcats made 17 of 34 3-pointers in the game and shot 54.5 percent overall in the game.

NDSCS is now on the road for two games, playing at Dakota College at Bottineau at 4 p.m. on Sunday and at Williston State College at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
