The local chapter of the Salvation Army has met and surpassed their 2020 goal. According to Salvation Army spokesperson Jean Freden, the kettles brought in approximately $19,000. The goal for the 2020 holiday season was $16,000. Three Salvation Army kettle locations were set up at Econofoods in both Wahpeton and Breckenridge locations as well as Wal Mart in Wahpeton. Counter kettles were also set up at various outlying locations as well. “The counter kettles did really well for us this year” Freden added. All Salvation Army collected at local locations stays in the Wahpeton Breckenridge and surrounding communities. For more information, listen to the KBMW podcast below.
