The Red River Area Sportsmen’s Club held a meeting on Thursday, November 19th at the Wahpeton Community Center. The club sponsored Red River shoreline fishing access improvements at the Kidder Recreation Area for installation of a fishing pier. A $500 grant was received from the Wal-Mart Foundation for the Junior Wildlife Club. A dozen wood duck boxes will be built and placed around Tewaukon Refuge, Hankinson and Minnesota wetlands. A raffle is being held instead of the annual Hunter’s Smoker fundraiser. Tickets are available The drawing is scheduled for Thursday, December 17th. The North Dakota game and Fish Fall Advisory Board Meeting is scheduled on-line for Tuesday, December 1st at 7:00 p.m.
