Cooper Yaggie threw for 191 yards and three touchdowns, connecting with Jacob Vizenor three times for 144 yards and two scores, as the Breckenridge Cowboys rolled to a 40-8 win over previously undefeated West Central Area on Saturday in Moorhead.

The game, a West Central home game, was moved to Moorhead on Saturday due to the winter storm late last week.

Breckenridge, now 3-0 on the season, has outscored its first three opponents 121-30.

Yaggie completed 8 of 13 passes for 191 yards. Connor Twidwell had two catches for 32 yards and a TD.

Chris Nieto led the Cowboys’ rushing attack with 87 yards and three scores

Breckenridge broke the game open with three touchdowns in the second quarter for a 27-2 halftime lead and added 19 points in the third quarter to lead 40-2.

Defensively, the Cowboys held West Central to 146 yards of offense.

Breckenridge now finishes the regular season with three straight home games, starting Friday at 7 p.m. against Hawley.
