The North Dakota State Highway Patrol Wednesday night identified the man killed in a Tuesday night near Fairmount.

The man is 71 year old Robert Kinn of Fairmount.

Kinn struck a tractor on County Road 81, about six miles west of Fairmount. The report said the driver of the tractor tried to pull over as far as he could, but was hit by Kinn as the two passed each other.

Kinn was taken to St. Francis Medical Center in Breckenridge where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the tractor was uninjured.
