Earle “Bud” Myers, a long-time county prosecutor in Wahpeton, passed away in Fargo under hospice care at the age of 82. Myers was the Richland County State’s Attorney from 1977-2003.

Following his retirement, Myers worked with Valley Water Rescue in Fargo along with his search dogs, Barnaby and Laura.

Myers was an Air Force veteran prior to graduating from the UND School of Law in 1969. He will be buried at National Veterans Cemetery in Fargo.

Myers’ son Chris is an assistant US Attorney in Fargo.
