Breckenridge High School athletics director Chad Fredericksen sent an e-mail Monday to inform spectators of the updated rules for the upcoming volleyball matches due to COVID-19.
Each player will be allowed two people admittance to their matches.
Names of those people will need to be on a list for both home and away games, and if your name is not on the list, you will not be allowed in. The list can change from game to game.
Breckenridge will charge $5 and each school will have different rates.
All fans will be asked to wear masks and socially distance from each other. Breckenridge is also asking to watch their person’s games and then leave to allow other parents and fans in for the next game.
Fredericksen said the C squad game will start at 5 p.m., the B squad at 6 p.m. and the varsity match at 7:30 p.m.
He also said ninth-grade volleyball matches are being rescheduled for mainly Mondays.
The Minnesota Department of Health has loosened restrictions on indoor events. Prior to last week, no fans were going to be allowed to the events, with the Minnesota State High School League reversing course late last week.
